Dido admits to her legions of fans that the reason why she went into song writing is so that she can sleep with more guys. "And it worked," she said. She's such a skank. But at least all that romping is put into good use.

Rush, rush
And the winner of the most lame dialogue in a video goes to... Keanu Reeves and Paula Abdul in Rush, Rush.
Okay, I didn't understand that. At all. What does being alone have to do with being in love? What Paula should have asked is - who does your hair, Keanu?buggered by Алексей at 3:47 PM 0 got buggered

Rekindle
You know how you get tired of an artist when you listen to a song of theirs over and over and over again? When Reality Bites was released, I was totally in love with the soundtrack that I'd listen to it all the time - while in the bath, in the car, as background music, and even while sleeping. One song that I particularly put on repeat a bajillion times was U2's All I Want Is You. But after a while, I didn't want it anymore. Until Paolo/Phooey/Pho lo/P Lo sent me the mp3. Now, I'm on a U2 high.

All I See
I'm REALLY liking this song right now. I'm bursting with fruit flavour. Without a hint of sarcasm.

The saddest song ever
This is a real tear jerker. And it has a duet version with Sting but I couldn't find it in Youtube.

The best of
I read before that Mariah said she didn't feel the need to come out with a greatest hits yet because she was still alive.
But she did anyway. And it was good.
Sarah Mclachlan apparently does not think the same way. She's released so many records that include most of her hits, that you start to wonder.. what does she do in her free time? lock herself up in her little cabin in the woods and play the piano all day?
Anyway, she released yet another Greatest Hits CD with the usual song suspects but with two new additions that sound really nice.
The video is a bit weird though.
U Want Me 2
I like how they made it appear she was underwater.. er.. playing the piano.

Bringing on the bling bling
I'm not even going to lie - I happen to like Mariah's songs, except when they turn R & B-ish.
I prefer her soothing and sometimes glass-shattering vocals when she sings them ballads. I love her duet with Brian McKnight in Whenever You Call and Endless Love with Luther.
I caught her performing Bye Bye on Oprah last night. She must have been pissed at the sounds/ backup vocals people because she kept on looking back, probably to tell them that to shut up because their voice was overpowering hers.
What I found more amusing was not only was her microphone bejewelled - the entire stand was too! Keep an eye out for her shoes. They can be real killers.

Christmas time in the city
I went to Rustan's last week and heard them playing Christmas songs. It's still September for crying out loud. Isn't it too early for that? I think the holiday dressings should start after All Soul's Day and Halloween. Isn't it strange to continue celebrating the Holiday season when you also have to go through a day to remember the dearly departed? Anyway, my most memorable Christmas to-date is when my family and I spent it in Europe two years ago. I don't recall if they played Christmas songs but they sorta dolled up most of the places we went to.

Phantom
My sister just left to go back to Melbourne to finish the rest of her Masteral stint. An hour before, this song popped into my head after I woke up from my nap. I know, it's a really cheesy song. Anyway, since we're in the Phantom of the Opera vibe, check out this video of Josh Groban singing "The Music of the Night". Keep your eyes peeled for 1:11. Hilarious.

In vogue at fashion rocks
It's a good thing she didn't sneeze mid song with all those feathers being waved front, right, and center. She did a pretty good version but I prefer the choreography of the original at the Girlie Show.

Golden umbrella
I used to like this song before half of Manila thought the same. And definitely before it had a local version. I saw this in Chuvaness' blog and thought it's too amusing to not share. Obviously, someone didn't do her homework and study the song.

Covering U2
I love it when other musicians do covers of other people's songs. I love Alanis Morissette's version of Crazy, which was originally sung by Seal. It was played in the Central Park fashion shoot scene in The Devil Wears Prada. I also love Britney Spears' version of You Got It All and Aqua's Turn Back Time. Yesterday at the Nokia-sponsored Fashion Watch Quartet Series 3, events director extraordinaire Robby Carmona played a really good head-bobbing, finger-tapping remake of U2's Where The Streets Have No Name sung by Vanessa Carlton. Nice.

Almost happy
I was almost delighted when I noticed the Philippine flag.
Now I can download to my heart's content, I thought.
But when I clicked on it, I didn't see the things I was expecting to greet me.
What happened to all the music and TV shows?
I don't like.

LSS
Sometimes when you feel like your entire week is like a really long Monday, all you really need is some music to help keep your sanity in check. Listening to Kylie makes me want to fly back with my sister tomorrow to Melbourne, where its the dead of winter. Don't you think there's something wrong with her nose? Anyway, my other LSS for the week was Jennifer Hudson's Spotlight. I don't remember where I heard it. Maybe on the radio, the few times that I actually tune in to it.

Give it 2 me NOW
I didn't like this song at first because it sounded funny but just like any other song nowadays, it kinda grew on me. to the left, to the right, to the left to the right..
