J'aime Paris

I used to think going to Paris was such a cliche. When I went eight years ago, I found it such a bore because everything looked the same - from the buildings to the tree lined streets. That all changed during my last trip to the City of Lights. And it was all thanks to Angelique, my turning-french cousin who took us around. I now have a new found fondness for Paris, despite its mostly cloudy days. We stayed in this boutique hotel called Hotel Lavosier in the idontknowhicharrondissement. They didn't have room service or a proper restaurant but it was nice, quaint, and walking distance to Fauchon, Baccarat, Place de Madeleine, Hermes, and rue St Honore. I'm planning to hit Europe again in two years, after I spend my 30th birthday next year in San Diego and maybe Canada. I just might decide to swing by Paris again so I can hoard boxes of macaroons from Laduree and hand carry them home.
